Terms of Use

By creating an account or using Bridgeways, a user agrees to the final Terms of Use and Privacy Policy presented at onboarding. Bridgeways is available only to people located in the United States who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter an agreement.

A user must provide accurate account and eligibility information and must use only an account they are authorized to control.

Bridgeways is an AI-guided conversation and practice service. It gives an adult user a private place to talk through estrangement-related pain, slow down a hard moment, explore perspective, practice a possible conversation, prepare a draft, and reflect on a steadier next step.

The service is parent-led and does not require an adult child or any other person to participate. Outreach is only one possible path. Waiting, stopping outreach, reflecting privately, or honoring a boundary can also be a valid next step.

Bridgeways uses artificial intelligence provided by Anthropic and OpenAI, including OpenAI realtime voice, with infrastructure from Vercel and Supabase. AI output is generated, not written or reviewed in real time by a human. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a user's circumstances.

Practice replies represent one possible response, not a prediction of what another person thinks, feels, will say, or will do. The user must review all output and remains responsible for decisions, messages, conduct, and consequences.

Bridgeways is not therapy and is not a therapist, counselor, doctor, lawyer, mediator, crisis line, or emergency service. It does not provide medical, mental health, legal, custody, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency advice and does not create a professional relationship.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. If you or someone you know is suicidal or in emotional crisis in the United States, call or text 988. Do not wait for or rely on a Bridgeways response in an emergency.

Bridgeways does not promise that another person will receive or answer a message, resume contact, change a boundary, reconcile, or reunite. Bridgeways cannot control another person and does not guarantee any relationship, emotional, legal, medical, or financial outcome.

The service measures progress through thoughtful reflection, clearer choices, practice, and alignment with the user's values and the boundaries in force, not through a reply or reunion.

Users must respect their own stated boundaries and the boundaries of other people. An expressed refusal, block, protective order, court order, or clear request to stop contact must not be bypassed through a different account, number, address, platform, identity, intermediary, workplace, relative, friend, or special occasion.

Users may not use Bridgeways to:

• harass, stalk, track, threaten, coerce, intimidate, or harm;
• evade expressed refusals, blocks, consent, platform controls, or legal restrictions;
• impersonate another person, conceal identity to obtain contact, or recruit a third party to continue unwanted contact;
• exploit, endanger, sexualize, or collect unnecessary identifying information about a minor;
• generate unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or rights-infringing content; or
• interfere with security, usage controls, safety systems, billing, provider routing, or another user's account or data.

Bridgeways may refuse, redirect, limit, or block a request that creates a safety, boundary, legal, or platform risk.

Users are responsible for maintaining account security and for all authorized activity under their account. Users should not enter unnecessary identifying information, access credentials, financial information, medical records, private messages, or other sensitive information belonging to another person.

A user retains rights in content they submit. The user grants Bridgeways a limited permission to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and transform that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, evaluate, bill, and improve the service under the Privacy Policy.

Bridgeways may offer one cardless trial to an eligible user. Paid options may include monthly subscriptions and a fixed 90-day package. The price, included usage, renewal period, taxes, and material plan terms shown at checkout are part of the purchase agreement.

Stripe processes payment methods and payment records. Monthly plans renew until canceled through the available billing controls. A cancellation stops future renewal but does not promise deletion of the Bridgeways account or Stripe's legally required payment records. Usage limits and access are enforced by Bridgeways entitlement records derived from verified checkout, invoice, and subscription events.

Open pre-launch legal decision: counsel and the business owner must approve the final refund policy, cancellation timing, tax disclosures, failed-payment treatment, and any statutory exceptions before paid checkout is enabled.

The Privacy Policy explains provider processing, including the AI providers' standard retention and their exceptions; Bridgeways' separate 90-day retention period for raw text and transcripts; durable user-approved memory; the no-raw-audio-storage rule; account export and deletion; and Stripe payment-record retention. Users can revoke or delete approved memory and may request account deletion using the authenticated account controls.

Bridgeways may change, pause, limit, or discontinue features for maintenance, provider availability, legal compliance, security, safety, cost, or product reasons. The service may experience errors, delays, interruptions, or lost availability. Bridgeways may update plan features prospectively with notice required by law or the final purchase terms.

Bridgeways may suspend or terminate access for material breach, unsafe conduct, unlawful use, payment failure, fraud, security risk, or attempts to defeat product controls. A user may stop using the service, cancel a recurring plan, export available account data, and request account deletion through the available controls.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bridgeways is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Bridgeways disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted or produce a specific result. Some jurisdictions do not allow every disclaimer, so these terms apply only to the extent permitted.

Any limitation of liability, damages exclusion, indemnity, dispute process, governing law, venue, arbitration, class-action waiver, and statutory consumer-rights language remains an open legal decision. Bridgeways will not insert or enforce those provisions until qualified counsel approves language appropriate to the operating entity, launch states, product risks, and payment model.

Bridgeways will display the effective terms during onboarding and identify the date of material updates. Continued use after legally sufficient notice may constitute acceptance where permitted.

Open pre-launch requirement: qualified counsel must confirm the operating legal entity, mailing address, legal contact, effective date, and all provisions identified above before these terms govern public paid use.
